Foresight Academy | 2024

For Milan Design Week 2024, gravity on behalf of the Foresight Academy and together with industrial design studio PostlerFerguson, launched its first-ever public exhibition: “Every Thing Exists”.

Set inside the forward-thinking Alcova venue, the exhibition explored what happens when design meets long-view strategy. Five speculative prototypes—ranging from a WiFi router to a power strip—served as provocations for how everyday tech might evolve when built with foresight principles in mind. The two core foresight insights that drove these prototypes were ‘revaluing the existing’ and ‘embracing cathedral thinking’.

The concept was rooted in “platform thinking,” a method focused on longevity, adaptability, and emotional connection. Each object was crafted with modularity and mono-materials, designed to gain value over time rather than become obsolete.

Paired with panels, talks, and thousands of global visitors, the exhibition sparked deep conversations and revealed just how aligned the creative community is on the urgency of rethinking design for a more sustainable, future-fit world.
